Committed to serving low-income Tennesseans as they pursue the dream of affordable homeownership, THDA continues it's ongoing efforts to create and implement mortgage programs for first-time homebuyers. We continue to work with over 175 Originating Agents, providing in excess of 300 origination locations throughout the state. Our exposure from the expansion of our outreach and information access provided via our web site has proven to be extremely beneficial, and site use continues to grow.

Our record production of 1999 propelled us into 2000 with great expectations. We continued to fund a high volume of first time homebuyer loans. Our Fiscal year 2000 production finished at 5835 mortgages funded, totaling $429.5 million. Calendar year 2000 also proved very productive, resulting in 2,855 mortgages funded, totaling $203 million.

In meeting THDA's goals, the Homeownership division focuses on providing the "avenue home" to the state's low-income population. We're excited about the prospects of a prosperous 2001, accepting the forthcoming challenges of innovation and creativity with complete confidence.
