The Mortgage Administration Division saw many improvements to its operation in 2001. The largest project by far was the implementation of a new software program, which brings new capabilities to reconcile monthly payments for THDA's 30,000 mortgage loans. Conversion and training took place in the spring, with full implementation a short time later. Many productive improvements were made in the way we interact with the agency's outside servicers, most notably more communications by email and attachments and less by paper. Much of the year was also spent planning a method whereby our servicers can report to us electronically each day, rather than by paper and computer tape each month. This will be implemented in 2002, and will be an exciting topic in next year's annual report. We look with pride on the year past, and look forward to interacting with our customers and borrowers in even more productive, efficient and user-friendly ways in the future.
