The Management Information Systems (MIS) Division supports agency staff at eleven locations across the State. Its other customers include: THDA's trustee bank, mortgage servicers, agency's financial advisor, state audit, bond disclosure organizations, Section 8 Contract Administration Housing Projects, HUD and the State's Finance and Administration Department. Installation, training, and data conversion to a new Mortgage System was the principal accomplishment during calendar year 2001. This System includes mortgage loan processing, master servicing, and bond disclosure reporting. Further, the division installed a new Accounts Payable System which takes its input from the Mortgage System for funding loans and paying delinquency expenses. MIS, during 2001, supported the agency by: upgrading desktop computers for over 50 staff, upgrading the agency's internet and intranet web sites, participating in Section 8 Contract Administration's start-up by implementing network services and software to support HUD requirements, developing training materials and conducting computer training classes for agency staff, maintaining a network at 99.7% availability for staff with no viruses/security breaches, and designing an electronic interface to support mortgage servicers-trustee-agency business processes which will be implemented in 2002. |
