Governor's Housing Summit

Thank you to our generous sponsors:

sponsors

Thank you for your interest in Tennessee’s 2008 Governor’s Housing Summit.

The purpose of this meeting is to educate each other on opportunities to produce affordable housing and celebrate our progress. Speakers and attendees will share what works with the goal of repeating successes in additional areas of the state. Tennessee’s economic growth is dependent on its workforce. George McCarthy, Senior Program Officer in Development Finance and Economic Security at the Ford Foundation, will talk about a program that focuses on using homeownership to build assets for low-income families and their communities. This work centers on improving housing and housing finance markets to increase the chances that existing low-income homeowners succeed in building wealth. The meeting opens with lunch Dec. 1 and closes after lunch Dec. 2 with an optional bus tour in the afternoon. Please click here for the agenda.

Registration closes November 24. A secure on-line utility is available here for credit card and other payment options. Please call Sharon Chatman at 615-815-2184 if on-line registration is not possible.  Attendance is capped at 550 persons.

Continuing education units have been approved by the Tennessee Real Estate Commission for several sessions. Please pick up your CEU form at the Summit registration desk and have your license number ready. Form signers will be stationed in each session.

Sponsorship and exhibitor information is available now (see related information on left). We deeply appreciate those who invest to make this gathering more affordable.
